Official service for the PlayStation®4 version of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn is set to commence on Monday, April 14, 2014. Users looking to play on the PlayStation®4 are encouraged to review the following pertinent information regarding early access, the upgrade campaign, and several bonus items available at release.

Playing on the PlayStation®4
Official service for the PlayStation®4 version of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 14, 2014. Users will be able to register product codes starting from Monday, April 14, 2014 at 12:00 a.m. (PDT), with the downloadable version available for purchase from Monday, April 14, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. (PDT).

Users who participated in phase 2 of the beta test will have the option to register the PlayStation®4 version to their beta service accounts. By doing so, characters used during the beta test can be carried over to the release version of the game.

PlayStation®4 Early Access
Users who received a pre-order code with their purchase of the PlayStation®4 version will have the option to play during the Early Access period. Early Access is scheduled to commence at the following time:

From Friday, April 11, 2014 at 1:00 a.m. (PDT)

* Early Access will transition to official service on Monday, April 14 without interruption.

Upgrade Campaign Details


From Friday, April 11, 2014 at 1:00 a.m. until Wednesday, December 31 2014, users will have the option to upgrade from the PlayStation®3 version to the PlayStation®4 version free of charge.

Please be reminded of the following before upgrading to the PlayStation®4 version:

Upgrading should not be confused with registering a PlayStation®4 license in addition to the PlayStation®3 version. After upgrading, you will no longer be able to access FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn using your PlayStation®3.
Upon completing the upgrade process, a PlayStation®4 system will be required to play FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.
Please note that after completion, the upgrade process cannot be undone.
Users must first register the PlayStation®3 version to their FINAL FANTASY XIV service account before upgrading.
All FINAL FANTASY XIV service account data including characters and in-game items will be carried over upon upgrading to the PlayStation®4 version.

Bonus In-game Items


Pre-order Bonus Items
By registering a pre-order bonus code on the PlayStation®Store, you will receive the Cait Sith doll minion and Moogle Cap. These bonus items will be delivered via the moogle delivery service starting from Friday April 11, 2014 at 1:00 a.m. (PDT).

* Pre-order bonus codes are valid until Sunday, August 31, 2014.
* Users who pre-ordered the Windows® or PlayStation®3 version of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn and received the Cait Sith doll minion and Moogle Cap bonus items will not receive additional bonuses for pre-ordering the PlayStation®4 version.
* If you have not received your pre-order bonus items after Monday, April 14 2014 at 12:00 a.m. (PDT), please try logging out of the game, then logging back in.

Collector's Edition Bonus Items
By registering a collector's edition bonus code on the PlayStation®Store, you will receive the in-game items listed below. These bonus items will be delivered via the moogle delivery service starting from Monday April 14, 2014 at 12:00 a.m. (PDT)

Fat Chocobo Whistle / Coeurl Bell
* After obtaining a personal chocobo, the above items can be used to obtain additional mounts, which can be accessed under Mounts in the Actions & Traits menu.
Behemoth Barding
* Players must possess a personal chocobo to make use of this item.
Wind-Up Moogle / Baby Behemoth
* The above items can be used to obtain minions, which can be accessed under Minions in the Actions & Traits menu.
Helm of Light

* Owners of the PlayStation®3 or Windows Collector's Editions, as well as users who have upgraded to the Collector's Edition will also receive the Fat Chocobo Whistle and Wind-Up Moogle. These items will be delivered via the moogle delivery service starting from Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. (PDT).
* If you do not receive your collector's edition bonus items, please try logging out of the game, then logging back in.
